The Sweet and Salty People

So after a long time, iam trying to write up something which has been on my mind for a while now. Last when we spoke, i pen down my thoughts about struggles of a Independent Women thriving to find her own self. In the very same article i also mentioned that Photography is the only thing (apart from my family) which was keeping me sane.
Yes.. I still follow my dreams.. And Yes.. I have started photography as a service and cover events as well as outdoor shoots..

So this is all about the kind of weird people you come across when you expose your talents and charge for it.. All is well, unless u dont charge it..! You are so excellent at everything.. U get insane pat on the backs.. But is that all.. Is that going to pay back the $$$$ amount u spent on your Gear.. Needless to mention the hours of tedious effort editing. and what about Travel (whoz gonna pay for it)..

So i thought NO MORE.. I learnt my Vocabulary and started saying NO.. "Mmm Hmm..! unless you pay for it..! Nothing is free Sweetheart..!".. Yup.. I did initially got some nasty stares for charging.. No matter how low you charge it.. U will be asked for discounts..

Let me be precise.. I have come across both Sweet and Salty Kind of people... Here's my take about it..
The sweet Sugar loafs are very delighted to have her pictures taken.. They are very much obligated to Time and stick to the rules.. They pay up what was agreed for (nothing more or less).. The Best part is when the Gallery is delivered, they are Delighted and jump to joy looking at their pictures and can’t stop bragging about it. They are out of the world and Down to Earth sweethearts.. Who started as clients and ended up being more than friends now

On the vice versa.. The not so KEWL people (salty ones)..! They give the sense of negative vibes from the beginning.. Starting with questions of how much ?? (which ends up with another question why $$$$, what’s so special about $$$$)..
They love to shop around and bring quotations.. It’s not that they like my style or my work.. it’s often about the $. The less the better.. They try to compare you with other photogs (which is rude.. very very rude). It cracks my nerve when they reveal other photos pricing and ask me why iam charging my $$$$. Well..! try to figure out yourself..

It doesn’t end there.. They tend to Thrall over you. With their in appropriate suggestions.. My nerves twitch, My mind screams,  “Hold on.. Back Off.. Give me Some Space.. I know what to Do.. Let me Do it . Do not provide me with your ancestral advice and insane suggestions..! If you are so good at it.. why don’t you do it..”

The ordeal with these kind of people  doesn’t end there.. Though I clearly mention in the contract to wait until two weeks to view their pics. They keep stalking you the moment you reach home.. “Hey ..! can you provide me with the pics tomorrow.. Iam so dying to see it..”. “ I can’t wait until I see it.. Plz do it tonight and send it across”..

Being a full time Working Mom.. (I work Mon – Fri at a corporate world). I Cook, feed, Take care of my little mojo as well as my lucky charm (spouse).. put them to bed and once they are knocked out, sneak out like a stealthy ninja and work on the projects (editing pictures).. Do you think it’s just that easy to do all these.. I know many of you might be thinking.. “ if it’s that hard, then Quit..!” Seriously…! If someone really has nerve to suggest me to Quit.. Watch me what I do next..

But as I mentioned earlier, just living in this Concrete World isn’t sufficient for one to lead a happy social life. You should always pursue your dreams and strive to do things which make you happy..  “Pain is temporary, But Quitting last Forever”.  Never Quit on something you love.. “You may see me struggle but you will never see me QUIT..”
