Disney Adventure - California

Image
This is Day 3 of our west coast adventures. Today we were planned to visit Disney Adventure.. today wasn’t like yesterday.. it was all meticulously planned.. I love the enthusiasm in the girls.. they wanted to explore everything..  Can you believe Disney is 100 Years young !!!!. Disney Adventure as I knew was all about rides and roller coasters.  Sheza loves adventurous rides. The most scary and time consuming one was incredicoaster. When I say time consuming, i meant we stood for 2 complete hours to get our turn.. still it was worth all the wait.. it was a complete 7 minute stomach churning ride..                      little Insia is a scaredy cat, all she wanted to do was carousel. She kept on complaining about the rides and wasn’t ready to get into any. So we took the option of Rider Switch, so that one of us always stays with Insia while the other takes a ride with Sheza and when they are done. We switch and ...

Disney Land - California

For those who have not read the previous blog, this is day 1 of our west coast journey trying to cover Atleast 5 National parks in 15 days.  Day 1: in our last blog, I had mentioned about the innocent mistake we committed of not buying Disney Land and Disney Adventure tickets online. And it happens to be that they do not allow anyone to purchase tickets over the counter.  We woke up with heavy heart, thinking about how to break the news to the girls, if we were not allowed to visit Disney Land. Sashi luckily got tickets to Adventure Land around 5 in the morning. He said, he randomly checked for the availability and instantly bought it. But that’s for next day.. not today.. so what are we doing today for them.  Our hotel was just a mile away from the Disney land. We had a pretty good walk and we reached there by 8:20 A.M (Park opens at 8).. Yeah early.. by the time we reached ticket counter it was already 8:40.. my mind was racing in every direction..  what happens if...

5 National Parks with two kids

Here we are again, planning and prepping for road trip with my two girls who are 9 and 4 now. My eldest Sheza is an National Park enthusiast. So we also try to encourage her, (ofcourse that’s what every parent does these days). This time we are trying to cover Atleast 5 national parks towards west coast (hopefully).  The ones included are Joshua Tree, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, Pinnacles & Redwood National Park.. I know, I know there are 6 names instead of 5, Iam trying to get to Atleast 5 (if the girls cooperate).  The best thing which I discovered recently is that blogger is available as an app for iPhone users. Here Iam Blogging and road tripping.  It is always said that, you need good sleep to have a good day.. I did the inevitable mistake of not sleeping the previous night of travel. I was packing, rushing to finish a gallery and then when the time finally came up to my sleep, it was already 4 A.M and we had to leave the house by 5:30.  Here I was Zomb...

Glacier National Park - Day 1

Image
It took me lot of time and resources to gather the amount of pics and videos we had taken during our trip to Glacier and Yellowstone. Mind that we had our Cell phones as well as a DSLR Camera to cover our memories.  Travelling to National Parks with Kids isn't easy. It comes with its own challenges. Do they have Restaurants ? Will there be Restrooms ?? Do we have to take GPS devices ? Will our Mobiles have Network Coverage ?? First Things first, We haven't comes across any restaurants inside the national park. There might have been some, but may be due to Covid or some other gracious reasons, we haven't seen any open. Coming to restrooms, there were few, but we never dared to get inside it. So iam clueless how well they were maintained (Iam sure the services would have been good) There shall be no network coverage, so i either suggest to carry your own GPS device or purchase a mobile app called "The Gypsy Guide". I seriously fell in love with that app. That's ...
